Get your daughters divorced instead of seeing them dead- (Blog)

Reading this heart-wrenching statement reminded me of something that parents usually say to their daughters: “Listen, girl, if you marry a guy of your choice, all the consequences will be your responsibility then. Parents always say that it is the sole responsibility of the girl to make this marriage work out, no matter whether your life becomes miserable. According to our society if a girl marries someone of her choice then she has to deal with everything alone. She will not be able to complain to her parents regarding any problem which she is facing in her marriage life. In most of the cases parents break bond with their daughter. A survey report came across with the fact that almost all the girls face the same situation. I have found it in a research report that this all happens because of a huge generation gap between the parents and daughters. They don’t even try to understand that why their daughters take such a huge step.

Hindu marriage is regarded as holy because it is a bond which is lasting in nature. In any society when the married persons feel that they cannot live together, they have no other alternative but to dissolve the marriage and divorce is the final solution to end the marriage tie. In our society people consider Hindu marriage as a permanent or unbreakable bond. This means if it’s not working then also the girl shouldn’t break it.

Due to domestic violence, acid attacks many young girls have died but this doesn’t make any sense to our society. Also the daughters are solely based for the same. Some of them commit suicide because of this violence and even their parents didn’t approve their choice. This is a reality and we have to do something against this. You should be aware of the fact that your daughter is not a burden that you could unload her to another family. She is your daughter for all eternity. Take responsibility for her life. If your daughter keeps her choice above yours and she is brutalized by her in-laws then try and understand her situation and help her to get a divorce.

Nowadays divorce is common. If one has a right to marry or to live together then they also have the right to be separated. Everyone has a right to live freely and happy but if your daughter would die then society will not be responsible for this.

Don’t think about the society, social gatherings or friends. For a while the society will pass hurtful remarks, You will survive it but if your daughter is dead then you are not going to survive it.  The society will forget but your daughter will probably not survive the torture. She is going through a lot of physical and psychological pain. Always remember if you don’t help your daughter then her suffering will never end and eventually she will be dead. No, sorry just Allow me to correct myself. Eventually she will be murdered.

Dear parents, I solicit you — Let your daughter come home. Be her strength and give her hope that you can fight for yourself.

Divorce is not the end of the world, but it is also a new beginning. Divorce is not the end of life but it is the end of a small chapter of life. You can remake your life to a creative and enjoyable surrounding by the seeds of the opportunities.

You can’t even imagine how much troubles she has faced and how much broken she felt.

Don’t let your daughter die. See, parents always wish the best for us but they forget that a daughter always needs her father and mother as her back so that she won’t feel alone in her life.
